Program from May 29
Exchange Student Karo Deckers shared with us about her home country and her year as an exchange student. Karo has been incredibly busy and active as a senior at Valley this year. She shared with us a power point presentation full of pictures highlighting both Rotary events and candid shots of her time here in Iowa.
Originally from Home district 2170, she is from Belgium. There are approximately 11 million people in Belgium, and the official languages are Dutch, French and German. During her stay here in Iowa she stayed with the Hahn's, then the Neuberger's and the (Chris) Nelson family.
Upon returning to Belgium she will be studying college psychology in the plan of becoming a speech therapist.
