Announcements:
The board voted that dues will be increased from $225 to $250 beginning July 1, 2014. The Paul Harris Foundation contribution will remain at $25 per quarter. Doug Hillman requested that all outstanding dues be paid by June 30, 2014.
Our club will once again participate in the West Des Moines 4th of July parade. Help is needed to decorate, donate candy, and walk the route to distribute candy and fliers highlighting our bike project.
Program:
Our speaker was Lance Harris, telling us of a program that supports the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research. Lance has organized a 5K fun run on September 14, 2014 in Windsor Heights. There is no fee to participate in the event, but all donations are appreciated, which will be given to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa to benefit cancer research.
