This Week:
Today is Veteran's Day - 11/11. The program will focus on the Foundation and will be presented by past District Governor Don Goering.

, pinch hitting for Melanie Roe, introduced University of Iowa Assistant Athletic Director Mark Jennings. Mark attended
Mark also brought us up to date on the Big Ten Network. It is the first network fully owned by a conference. After some well documented hiccups last year, the Big Ten Network is now available through virtually all cable services which put it in approximately 70 million homes.
Mark also fielded questions about the new "player development" director at U of I. He explained how the players are carefully watched wherever they go. And while they may do essentially the same thing as their predecessors from prior years, the extra close scrutiny causes virtually every misstep to be reported. The director is assisting the players in understanding this and helping them make good life choices.
