Owen Walker
My name is Owen Walker. I am a senior at Valley High School and I’ve participated in WDM wrestling for 5 years. My favorite subject as of right now is calculus but I also like science a lot. Outside of school I enjoy snowboarding, rock climbing and listening to music. I work at climb iowa so I spend a lot of time climbing but once its winter I will be wrestling and snowboarding a lot more. My post-high school plans are undecided but I intend to attend a college studying math or a biological science.
Dennese Devine
My name is Dennese Devine, and I am junior at Valley High School (WDM). I may not be extremely active with extracurriculars at my school, but there are a few clubs that I've been a part of in the past, such as Track and field, Basketball, Robotics, and RISE . For this school year, I plan to join new clubs that will boost my leadership skills, including; Key Club, CORE (Community of Racial Equity), Interact Club, and RISE. During my experience at RYLA, I got an idea from one of my teammates, Kaitlyn, which was 'Say Yes To The Dress.' Their goal is to fundraise and donate dresses to people who can't afford to buy dresses for formal school dances So for my senior project, I plan on expanding her ideas by creating a club with a friend at Valley, and our goal will be to fundraise for formal garments that will be distributed to students at Valley Southwoods and Valley High School. After high school, I plan on continuing my education in Mechanical Engineering and Physiology at an [unknown university] to hopefully get the opportunity of working within the STEM field.
Ruby Jacob
I’m Ruby Jacob, a 12th grade student at Valley High School. I have a bachelor's degree in Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance), and am soon testing for my black belt in taekwondo! I often compete in art competitions, can play four instruments, have started my own club, and recently won first place at a NASA camp competition! I love exploring all that the planet has to offer. This goes from swimming with sharks, petting wolves, and getting stung by three jellyfish, to continuing to expand my passion through my dream job: aerospace engineering!

He is passionate about the community he serves and enjoys the hard work necessary to create a more economically diverse and vibrant city that emphasizes quality of life and a business-friendly environment. Ryan is responsible for leading a dedicated team that works to grow the economy of the city by facilitating various development and redevelopment initiatives, improve the quality and access to attainable housing, and market the community to new and expanding businesses.
